Software Engineer – Solutions numériques & IA (M/F/X) – Permanent Contract

CMCM is expanding its Digital Factory to design and develop digital solutions that streamline processes and improve member services. 
You will translate business needs into reliable applications and integrations, while exploring the possibilities of artificial intelligence for concrete and controlled use cases.
You will join the Digital Factory and collaborate with developers and project stakeholders.

Design and develop solutions

• Analyze business needs, propose tailored solutions, and contribute to their implementation.
• Develop application features, services, APIs, data exchanges, and process automations.
• Take into account user experience, simplicity, and scalability.

Integrate AI in a meaningful and controlled manner

• Identify, prototype, and integrate AI, agents, or workflows into applications and processes.
• Produce structured and verifiable results, evaluate their quality, and provide for human oversight when necessary.
• Choose the solution based on needs, without making AI an end in itself.

Evolve the application ecosystem

• Contribute to the design and integration of CMCM solutions.
• Work in an environment that currently includes .NET, PHP, and Odoo, while remaining open to new tools and languages.

Build robust and maintainable software

• Apply best practices in software development: testing, code reviews, documentation, version control, and automated deployments.
• Ensure the security, data protection, and maintainability of solutions.
• Share knowledge to empower the team.

Education and Professional Experience

You have at least three (3) years of professional experience in software development, with multiple solutions delivered and deployed in production. In particular, you have maintained and evolved at least one solution for more than one year. You have been responsible for the deployment, incident management, and enhancements of these solutions.
A college degree in computer science is preferred but does not replace hands-on experience. We particularly value your practical experience, the solutions you have developed, and your ability to acquire new skills.

Technical Skills

Essential Skills

• Experience integrating APIs or data exchanges in production environments, including handling authentication, error management, and ensuring the reliability of data exchanges.
• Ability to test, diagnose, and improve a solution beyond the prototype stage, particularly through automated testing, code reviews, and version control.
• Application of best practices for security and personal data protection.
• Ability to clarify requirements with non-technical stakeholders and explain decision-making.
• Fluency in French; an understanding of technical English is helpful.

The following are assets

• Experience integrating AI, bots, or automation, including evaluating the quality of results (test suites, metrics, human verification).
• Experience with C#/.NET, PHP, Odoo, or a comparable application platform.
• Knowledge of the cloud, automated testing, or continuous integration.
• Experience in an environment where security and confidentiality are essential (healthcare, insurance, finance).
• Knowledge of Luxembourgish and/or German.
