with a particular focus on Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases
Neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, are complex conditions involving the interaction of many mechanisms.
During this Health Talk, Professor Alexander Skupin will provide an overview of how the brain works, the basics of neurodegeneration, and the key mechanisms that contribute to the development of these diseases. He will also explain what can be done and why interdisciplinary research, such as that conducted at the LCSB at the University of Luxembourg, plays such an important role.
Exploring the human brain – The LCSB combines expertise from a broad spectrum of disciplines to study the brain and its diseases.
